The Design Process
After a detailed discussion, I will have a clear idea of your design concept, and will get to work on a sketch of your cake. I can then make adjustments to the sketch until it is the exact cake you want. I want you to love your cake! My online cake design gallery represents my style, but you are not at all limited to these cake designs. I will work with you–giving you guidance as needed–to create a unique design for your cake.
I am happy to create cakes for weddings, birthdays, bridal showers, anniversaries, baby showers, or any happy occasion that calls for a cake. If you would like to take your order a step further from an email discussion and would like to meet with me, simply request a consultation.
Design doesn’t just happen. Designs are conceptualized, created, and perfected. Whether you have a clear vision or just a vague idea for your wedding or specialty cake, I will work collaboratively with you to design the perfect cake for your special event. I’ll help you determine the look and feel of your cake whether it be for an elegant or rustic wedding, or a serious or funky themed event. The inspiration for your wedding cake can come from anywhere: a family heirloom, your invitations, a china pattern, a wedding dress. For a specialty cake, the inspiration could come from your themed invitations, party decor, or the special person it is intended for.
